Communicate

The news industry has been fascinating to me my entire life. As the industry changes, one thing does not: the ability to clearly communicate with others is essential to our well-being.

I still love getting my Editor and Publisher magazines in the mail, although they are also available online. The way in which news is delivered has evolved, but the Who, What, Where, When and How still remains the basis for good news reporting. It is important to me to communicate clearly with you.

A little over a year ago, the City began hosting “Listening Posts” for citizens on topics such as redevelopment of the Hall of Waters, proposed housing at the old Wyman School, Medical Marijuana, and the Airport. Then Covid-19 took over and our communication strategy became ZOOM, online surveys and more use of our social media platforms.
