I am running for a fourth term on the Excelsior Springs City Council. The election will be held Tuesday, April 6th. I would appreciate your vote and will work hard to serve you.
In planning my campaign this year, I have received extra help from my newest (and youngest) volunteer. My granddaughter, Mackenzie, wanted to help me and designed an awesome poster and buttons for the campaign. Her support is important to me. Even though she can’t vote, she is a resident of Excelsior Springs and building a better tomorrow for her and all of our young people is part of my job, too.
At a Citizens’ Institute on Rural Design seminar that I attended a few years ago, I was introduced to the 7 Generation community model. The presenters encouraged leaders to put themselves in the middle of seven generations, respecting the foundation that the previous three generations had built while creating sustainability and quality of life for the next three generations. I like this concept!
This photo of Mack and I was taken on our way to Gatsby Days a few years ago. It is one of my favorites. If you would like a Mackenzie designed button, send us a note!
